On the Slopes with the Bluebird Team

Last Friday, the Bluebird team recently gathered at the Slopeside Club at Crested Butte Mountain Resort for our annual company luncheon—a favorite tradition that celebrates shared accomplishments and the exciting year ahead. The afternoon was filled with laughter, connection, and a special gift for everyone: custom Bluebird Yeti tumblers to mark another great season together.

Bluebird Principal and owner Bud Bush recognized the dedication and hard work of the entire team, reflecting on an outstanding 2025 and making reference to Mikaela Shiffrin’s recent comeback and gold medal in slalom in the winter Olympics. Maggie Dethloff led the company in sales volume and Brian Cooper closed the most sales in 2025. Thanks to the commitment of our associates, Bluebird once again finished the year as a market leader in total property sales and listings. That success has carried seamlessly into 2026, as the firm commences it’s tenth year of business with continued strength and momentum across the Gunnison Valley.

At the core of Bluebird Real Estate are our guiding values of Exceptional Service, Teamwork, and Community. These principles shape how we support one another and how we serve our clients every day. During the luncheon, the annual Bluebird True Blue Awards were presented to team members who exemplify those values in extraordinary ways—nominated and voted on by their peers. Congratulations to this year’s honorees: Bet Egelhoff for Exceptional Service, Jennie Barry for Teamwork, and Joel Vosburg for Community.

After lunch, associates enjoyed a snowy afternoon on the slopes followed by après refreshments—wrapping up the day with plenty of smiles and memories on the mountain. It was a perfect way to celebrate the Bluebird team and kick off another promising year ahead!
