Bluebird Welcomes the Colorado 500!

The 42nd annual Colorado 500 rolled through Crested Butte Monday afternoon from Aspen and on Thursday evening, returning from Ouray. The yearly pilgrimage founded by Indy race car veteran Wally Dallenbach Sr., supports Colorado children's organizations and hosts over 130 riders during each event. They ride for five days on trails and dirt roads from Aspen, through Crested Butte to Ouray and Telluride and back. Veterans Grant Wood and Keith Smith (pictured far left) enjoy the camaraderie of riders from all over the globe including Tokyo, Europe and Canada, as well as the breathtaking scenery from atop the Gunnison, Uncompahgre and Rio Grande National Forests.
