A Toast to Summer! Bluebird’s Wine & Food Fest Happy Hour

The Center for the Arts kicked off its much-loved Wine and Food Festival last Monday afternoon with a Patron reception in their lobby prior to the Alpenglow concert. Bluebird was proud to sponsor the gathering, featuring delicious hors d’oeuvres by Alpen Chef and curated wine selections from Mountain Spirits. Wine expert Aaron Tomcak was on hand to guide guests through the tasting experience.

A lively mix of Bluebird clients and event patrons gathered on the sunny summer afternoon, enjoying great conversation and discovering new wine favorites before the live music began.

Originally founded in 2008 by Jeff Hermanson, who joined the event on Monday, the Wine and Food Festival has become a celebrated tradition and cultural cornerstone in the Gunnison Valley. The annual festival is a highlight of summer activities and features special intimate in-home dinners prepared by recognized chefs, seminars led by culinary and wine experts, and field trips of flavor expeditions, all culminating in the signature Grand Tasting event featuring small plates and more than 200 wines.

Bluebird and the Center for the Arts have shared a strong partnership since the company’s beginning. The Center is a vital hub for creativity and connection in our community, bringing people together for everything from aerial dance to public policy discussions, and, of course, unforgettable evenings of wine, food, and music.
