Strengthening Our Community with the Bluebird Charitable Fund
At Bluebird, giving back is central to who we are. Our team and agents are passionate about supporting our neighbors and fostering a thriving Gunnison Valley community.
Launched in 2017 alongside the company, the Bluebird Charitable Fund was created to strengthen local organizations and initiatives. Throughout the year, a portion of every closing commission contributed by both the company and our agents helps grow the Fund.
A volunteer committee carefully reviews nominations from our team and selects deserving local charities to receive grants. At the end of the year, the Fund’s contributions are distributed, creating a positive and lasting impact throughout the community.
This year, the Bluebird Charitable Fund supported:
Living Journeys – support and services for cancer patients and families
Project Hope – life support and services for people with domestic challenges
Gunnison Country Food Pantry – food support and services
Gunnison Valley Women’s Network – business networking and support for women
PAWS, Paradise Animal Welfare Society – rescue, housing, and adoption services for dogs and cats
Gunnison Wildlife Association – protecting the health of wildlife
Oh Be Dogful Rescue and Sanctuary – connecting foster dogs with their forever homes
Coal Creek Watershed Coalition – protects and restores local watersheds
West Elk Soccer Association – fosters soccer development and fun
The Trailhead Children's Museum – inspires children to learn and create
CB State of Mind – provides mental health services and support
Paradise Place Preschool – adventure-based learning that sparks a love for exploration in children
Valley Housing Fund – supports affordable and accessible housing opportunities
Titans Booster Club – empowers Crested Butte Community School students in education, athletics, and fine arts
We offer a big thank you to our 2025 Charitable Fund Committee: Bet Egelhoff, Jordi Sendra, Joel Vosburg, and Trevor Bona, the Committee Chair.
In addition to the Charitable Fund contributions, Bluebird was proud to actively sponsor and participate in several community events throughout 2025 that brought people together and supported local causes. These include the Center’s Wine & Food Festival Bluebird Happy Hour, Gunnison Trails’ Winter Blast as title sponsor, the Gunnison Arts Center’s Sundays at Six concert series, the Bill Allen Scholarship Golf Tournament, and the CBMBA Summer Kickoff Party. We were also especially excited to have hosted Bluebird’s first annual Bird to Bird Gravel Ride, which raised funds for both CBMBA and Gunnison Trails.
Bluebird lives by the model of “bringing dreams home,” which serves both our clients and our community in purposeful ways.
