Chris Hauck

Chris Hauck was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and spent his summers in Teller County, Colorado, where he explored the mountains and towns of South Park, the Arkansas River Valley and San Luis Valley by foot, horseback and bike. This early exposure to Colorado’s outdoors fostered a lifelong appreciation for the mountains and the recreational opportunities they offer. He is a disciplined problem solver and precise communicator with an analytical mind. To deepen his practical knowledge while pursuing his curiosity about the natural world, Chris attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a double major in Business Administration and Astronomy.

Chris relocated to Crested Butte to join a community defined by its people, their connection to one another and the mountains they call home. He holds construction experience, specifically in the fields of radon mitigation and energy-efficiency retrofits and has worked throughout Gunnison County. Additionally, he assisted in building Habitat for Humanity homes in Gunnison and Salida. This work gave him practical knowledge of building systems and performance that he continues to draw on regularly. Chris later joined the local closing team at Land Title Guarantee Company, where he assisted in researching and closing more than 1,000 real property sales in Gunnison County. Through experience navigating transaction mechanics, reviewing title reports and resolving potential issues, he further refined his decision-making and attention to detail in real estate transactions. He approaches his work with focus and dedication and is known for his follow-through in every endeavor he takes on. Outside of work, Chris is an avid skier and mountain biker who adventures frequently in the expansive backcountry surrounding Crested Butte.
