From Diane: A veteran of Wall Street, I worked in trading and sales in the bond and stock markets for over 16 years in New York, London and San Francisco. This experience enables me to help you determine value and get the most out of your real estate transaction-- I am here to help you achieve your goals and dreams. Since 1992 I have owned a home in Crested Butte and am very knowledgeable about real estate trends and location choices. Education and Experience: Raised in Princeton, NJ and an alumnus of Duke University, I graduated with honors in a double major of economics and psychology. After working for Merrill Lynch and Drexel Burnham in New York and London, I was a Managing Director at Bank of America Securities in San Francisco. My education and experience give me a unique perspective and ability to help you with an intelligent real estate choice.
International Exposure: During my Wall Street tenure, I worked for 16 years with overseas clients. I lived in London for 3 years, and traveled extensively in the UK, Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and Africa. My clients ranged from large institutional Middle East accounts, to large and small European and UK mutual funds and hedge funds. I am used to doing business with clients for whom English is a second language, and who are unused to our customs. Diane was our realtor when we sold our family home originally purchased in 1951. Even though I was living in another state and due to work pressures could not return to Crested Butte during the sale process, she handled everything from original marketing, dealing with tenants and prepping the house, to creating the financing arrangement with the final buyer. Her acumen with financial possibilities allowed us to realize a far greater return on the transaction than we could have arranged on our own, while giving the buyer a good deal on his end, win-win for both parties. A few years later, the buyer had to sell the property, and as we had self financed the original sale, we were once again involved. Because the buyer had had such a good experience with his purchase, he contacted Diane for the sale. We are inexperienced in both the real estate and the financial worlds but now were very involved with both. Diane has gone above and beyond to handle the second sale of the property. The Legal firm that handled the first sale and deed recording, has gone through two reformations since the sale and some records in limbo. Diane has dealt with the mistakes and record keeping shortfalls that were inadvertently introduced into the process and kept the new title company, us, the buyer, the seller and the old legal firm informed and in touch. I don't know how we could have done it without her. It was a very hard decision to sell the family home the first time and the various issues involved didn't help. When it went up again I felt the pain anew. Knowing Diane was handling the sale was an immediate relief and it was proven valid as the process went on.
